LIMES

Citruscentre Special liquid citrus fertilizer. This is essential for healthy, productive plants. Available here.

La Valette. Should read Tahiti or Bearrs lime because we have grown them side by side for a number of years and cannot see any difference. The fruit turns yellow when it matures in the winter here, but so do all our limes as it is the cold temperatures that cause the change.

Tahiti Lime. This is the lime you can buy in the shops. A seedless fruit on a prolific cropping plant, which if left on the tree will eventually turn yellow. The leaves are very aromatic. Another great starter plant.

Bearrs Lime
.
Originating from a seedling of Tahiti (which is almost always seedless) this cultivar is as far as we can tell identical in every way to Tahiti.

West Indian or Key Lime.
This is the bartenders lime of the tropics and produces small, tart, aromatic fruits best known
for being an essential ingredient in Rum punches or in "Key lime pie".

Padou Giant Lime.
Like the Ponderosa, this can produce fruit that weighs up to 2-3lbs each. It needs careful pruning to keep the framework tough enough to bear such large fruit. Great for pint-sized G and T's!

            £40 Size Approx. 2ft bush

Kaffir Lime. This lime’s leaves are essential in many Thai recipes. Picked fresh off the plant ,these leaves are many times more aromatic than imported leaves.
